Kayden has fallen ill, for the very first time

Dear Kayden has fallen really sick this time. He had bad cough with phelgm, runny nose due to the phelgm and luckily just mild fever for the moment.


He went for his premature checkup today at KKH. He had speedy growth. hehe.. He now weighs 5kgs, height of 55cm. He's catching up real fast, doctor said it's because of the breastmilk he's having. She told me to continue. That's my plan too, if the supply is ample when he grows bigger, thought of giving him full breastmilk till age of 1.

Just that there are still some minor issues to his health. He has lesser blood in him, that's because he's premature, he don't have reserved blood in him, so he has to continue his iron drops(medication) every morning. & he has lesser white blood cells in him, just like me.. So it means he can't go to crowded places or stay too near to sick people, he will catch virus easier than anyone even if he's on breastmilk. That's the problem of being premature.. Everything will only improve as he grows older.

He's real terror today. He screamed and wailed, instead of baby crying sound when the nurse poked his sole for blood test. He cried for at least 10mins, a lady walked out from the laboratory office just to check why is he crying, she said "He is SO FIERCE!" hahahaha...

2nd wailing of the day, the doctor woke him up from his sweet nap, by pressing onto his groin to check on his hernia problem, he cried so loud till the doctor got afraid and apologised non stop. hahaha..

3rd wailing of the day, I dropped 2 drops of solution into his blocked nose, to let the phelgm come out easier and faster. He cried so badly, he was looking at me pitifully, as if trying to tell me "I feel so miserable". He's seems very sensible, he was crying and babbling at the same time, when I was carrying and consoling him everything is gonna be fine.


Hope he will get better tomorrow... Hope the vomitting he has does help to clear his phelgm, then he won't have itchy throat too.. Kieron has been a good brother too, he will go to Kayden, consoling him, assuring him that he gonna be well soon. Really sweet of him...
