Hubby Being Robbed!!

Haiz.. Didn't know to say if this robbery is a lucky or unlucky one...

Hubby, together with another 2 friends and his younger bro went in Johor last night for supper.. Just before he left the house, I reminded him to be careful. Who knows at 10.30pm, he called and said he was robbed... I turned alert upon hearin the news when I almost doze off making 2 sons to sleep...

It happened within minutes.Right after they reached the destination, hubby's fren asked hubby to help him look after his waist pouch that consist the 4 guys' passports and S$8k cash of money. Just when hubby and his brother wanna cross over the road to catch some bites, there was this motorcycle sudden braked beside hubby. The cyclist caught hubby's attention because of the dangerous way of stopping. He rode off, did nothing. However, hubby caught sight of the bike's model and car plate, it's a Super 4 model and with Spore plate. Then the bike U-turn and stopped in front of them again, as if trying to ask for directions, at this moment, the cyclist snatched the pouch and rode off. Too late.... Everything happened too quickly that hubby only managed to shout "WEI". Only to say they were so careless to bring so much money to a foreign country that's well known of street robbery and "stupid" enough to put all 4 passports together with the money.

Luckily, none of them was hurt and hubby's IC wasn't lost, just his passport. & they were not robbed inside hubby's fren car. He had a new 7-seaters Honda just got a few months ago. Can't imagine they robbed and drove the car off if it really happen that way. Not only S$8k be gone.

By the time, they finished reporting to police and immigration. They reached Spore around 1am+. What a "splendid" supper trip...

According to the polices over there, they said the area around New York Hotel was well known for such robbery due to the existences of small alleys along the main road. Best hideout and best runaway routes. SO, drivers who liked to go Johor for cheap car wash, try to avoid New York Hotel's area which had a number of car wash shops at night or alone. Be ALERT at all times. Don't say woman is naggy or kiasee, but she is trying to prepare for the worst. Always expect the unexpected.
