Kayden went for his routine followup at hospital yesterday, for his blood..
This day, he had to do a thorough blood test. No longer a simple poke on his finger to draw a few drops of blood. But a full blood test, using a 1+"" long of needle, poking through his blood vessel. He didn't cry when the nurse drew 1 tube of blood. A brave boy.
Doctor said he is progressing well, with his development, gross motor and all. Except his blood count. It is still low, and the cell's size is smaller too.. But what causes it to be small? The 2nd part of the test will only be out today.. I hope my tears and worries I had were extras. Hope its not as serious as what the doctor had suspected -- Thalassemias.
He had grew alot as compared with his last followup 2 months ago. He's now 13month, 74cm tall and weighed 8kg. He's finally in normal kid's health chart, just that he is at the smaller end.. It's good news, he being a "dustbin" does work. hehe...
